Besides that, when we are on duty I see everyone giving it there best work and having fun while we do it. We did good this week but I hope next week will be better. Ps we should bring food or a pizza.

The Day to Day Grind Part1

So as another interesting week comes to an end. I think about the project we have been working on. We have been working a a film treatment but with a twist. This time around we've been set up with a partner on writing a film with a noir setting. I thought it this would be as easy as cigarettes and hot dames, i never been so wrong!
Mark and I have been working on your treatment and as we found a story kinda easy to make, we found trouble with specifics and motives. Both of us have been stuck on the why. Why does she fit into this? Why does he get involved? These question have been the ones that have been hammering at us. Yet I've noticed that most of the other groups have succumb to these questions too.
Personally I've liked working in a partnership on these treatments. I found it fun to bounce ideas off of someone else. Yet when both of us are suffering from writers block, we are just stuck in a stalemate. Anyway its been fun till next time Folks.

Dr. King Schultz

The Nominees For Best Actor in a supporting role for the Oscars this year are Alan Arkin (Argo), Philip Seymour Hoffman (The Master), Tommy Lee Jones (Lincoln), Chrstoph Waltz ( Django Unchained), And Robert De Niro (Silver Linings PlayBook). But today we will be speaking about Christoph Walyz In ( Django Unchained).
Waltz portrays Dr. King Schultz, a German bounty hunter in the per-Civil War South who buys a slave to assist him with his work. Schultz brings a great sense of humor and mentor ship into the film. By not only being able to talk his way through anything and teach Django about the bounty hunter game. Waltz character was in a sense of a mentor as partner to Django, helping him save his wife and complete his quest for revenge.
I believe Christoph Waltz brought a very good sense of humor to the film with his witty remarks. Just like the rest of the main crew in the film his acting was top notch. I also Believe that he should be awarded the Oscar for best actor in a supporting role for his stunning work in this film.

A New Star Wars Trilogy?

So information is week was released that Michael Arndt has written the film treatments for not on the new star wars film but all three for Disney. The Oscar award winning Little Miss Sunshine writer who also worked on Toy Story 3andthe upcoming Hunger Games: Catching Fire is also in line to work on the 7th star wars script. Arndt was brought on board by LucasFilms months ago to put together ideas to take the franchise forward sources say. This was before the October 30 $4 billion sale of LucasFilms to Disney, this led to a “pretty extensive and detailed treatment for what would be the next three movies, the trilogy,” that Disney CEO Bob Iger referred to when the company finally acquired Lucas company.
This article is important because we will see how will the transfer between companies help or kill the star wars series and any other films under LucasFilms.Tthe fact that Disney is spreading it claws and taking over  companies like marvel can come as good or bad to us as fans. We just have to wait till 2015 for episode 7 of star wars and give our verdict.
As a consumer and someone growing up watching these films this has a huge impact on me. I'm afraid and anxious to see what will become of the series.i mean how will the series run with out the original creative mind behind it. As i was when Disney also bought the rights to produce marvel films, we can only wait.
On the idea that Disney is buying all these well known companies the question that rises in my mind is where will they stop? who is next to fall to Disney? and finally how will Arndt do? Remember To Keep Informed People.

Ben Affleck Honored

Next week Ben Affleck will be honored by The Casting society Of America. they will be awarding him with the lifetime achievement award during its 28th annual Artios Awards. The CSA also is giving Lora Kennedy its Hoyt Bowers Award and Harvey Fierstein its New York Apple Award.
This article was important because it shows that other people in the industry recognize your achievement. Your hard work is also seen by other in the field not just you.
As a future filmmaker this was important for me because you can be given many awards or little but a lifetime achievement award means a lot. Yet does it also mean that you already pasted your peek and did all you could do.
The question that rises in my mind is what is to do now? With this award do i just fade away or is there more for me to create, more to do?

Walking Dead NA here's a movie

So Dish has released a statement on there Facebook this week saying”DISH understands that ‘The Walking Dead’ on AMC is a very popular series. To show appreciation, customers will be provided ‘Tales of the Apocalypse,’ a free scary movie fest every day in the month of October." Really DISH you can't just distract people with a free movie fest.
This caught my eye because being a Walking Dead fan of both the show and comic, would still be upset or already be with another television provider to watch the channels i want to watch.
As a consumer it terrible that your paying for this company to watch TV but the company really decides what will be aired so why chose.
The question that raises is DISH practically insulting viewers with this i mean we don't want want to see some horror movie we want the walking dead. I mean come on people it's not the same.

Law For Child Actors

The important bill AB1660 was passed this week it requiring criminal background checks for managers, publicists, photographers and others with unsupervised access to young performers. The bill, gained support last year after the reported arrest of a convicted child molester. The Authorities determined Jason Murphy had been employed on movies with children including J.J. Abrams’ SUPER 8.Until now, only agents and studio teachers have been required to take a criminal background check.
The importance of this article is that this law protects child actors from sex offenders. There is a greater sense of safety for any parent of this kids in the industry.
As a future filmmaker this makes me want to know who you are working with. I mean i don't my producer to be some lunatic.
The question that I'm asking is did the parents of these kids every think to get this guy who's usually alone with your kid check out. Before something terrible happens to your child. I mean really?
